Tacu-tacu is a typical dish of Peruvian gastronomy, specifically Creole food, it was made by black slaves, who took advantage of the leftover food to make it.

The dish consists of cooked rice, beans, and a sofrito based on yellow chili mixed to form a homogeneous mass under the heat of a frying pan.
